IJF Mental Wellbeing Support

The Injured Jockeys Fund recognizes the importance of mental wellbeing and places huge importance on supporting those who may be finding things difficult . Whilst not an expert in mental health ourselves we can quickly and confidentially help individuals to access the expert support that they may need .

For currently licensed jockeys we work closely with the PJA which runs a 24hr Helpline that can be contacted on 07780 008877 or PJA website.  Additional support for jockeys can also be obtained  confidentially via our network of Almoners or via the Rehabilitation Centres .

For former licensed jockeys help can again be accessed via either the Almoner or Rehabilitation teams where expert guidance is received from  Clinical Psychologists "Changing Minds" who assist us to make the appropriate referral.

All enquiries are dealt with completely confidentially and at no charge.
