Sir Anthony McCoy OBE - President
National Hunt Champion jockey 1995-2015. BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2010.

Jack Berry MBE - Vice President
A key part of the Fund since its commencement in 1964. It was Jack's vision that led to the construction of both Oaksey House and Jack Berry House.

Brough Scott MBE - Vice President
One of the best-known figures in racing. Was a jockey and is an award-winning writer, broadcaster and charity worker. Has been a Trustee of the Fund since 1978 and Chairman since January 2007. Brough was appointed Vice President in November 2019.

Clare Balding OBE - Vice Patron
Leading TV sports presenter, author and former Champion Amateur rider.

Frankie Dettori, MBE - Vice Patron
Three time flat Champion Jockey and one of the world’s most famous and popular jockeys.

John Francome MBE - Vice Patron
Retired seven times National Hunt Champion jockey. Well-known TV racing presenter and author. Held position as President 2012-2016.

Rachel, Lady Oaksey - Vice Patron
A tireless fundraiser, supporter of the Fund and almoner for many decades, initially alongside her late husband, the IJF’s founder Lord Oaksey, and in her own right since his death in 2012. 

Peter Scudamore MBE - Vice Patron
Retired eight times Champion National Hunt jockey, journalist, broadcaster and assistant trainer. Held the position as a Trustee 1993-2011.


William Norris QC - Chairman
A barrister at Thirty Nine Essex Street, specialising in major personal injury claims, big environmental cases and sports law, both as an advocate and Chairman of disciplinary tribunals. Became a Trustee in 2006.

Guy Henderson -  Vice-Chairman
CEO of Ascot Racecourse and an international business lawyer and partner with the global law firm Allen & Overy for over 30 years. Became a Trustee in 2016.

Dominic Burke -  Treasurer
A successful businessman and racehorse owner, and joint owner of Whitley Stud. Became a Trustee in September 2019.

Michael Caulfield MSc
Director and Sport Psychologist at Sporting Edge. Former CEO of the Professional Jockeys Association. Became a Trustee in 2013.

Michael Foy FRCS
Consultant Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgeon. Became a Trustee in 2015.

Andrew Thornton
One of an elite band of NH Jockeys to have ridden over 1000 winners. Became a Trustee in 2016.

Hazel Peplinski
Chief Executive – Perth Racecourse. Became a Trustee in 2012.

Sam Waley-Cohen
Successful businessman and highly-regarded amateur jockey. Became a Trustee in 2012.

George Baker  

Is a retired jockey who rode over 1300 winners and was at the top of his game winning the 2016 St Leger. He then suffered a serious head injury in a fall at St Moritz in February 2017 resulting in a lengthy period of rehabilitation. George has recently started a new career as agent to jockeys William Buick and James Doyle.

Ed Chamberlin

Is a sports broadcaster and the lead presenter for ITV Racing, having previously worked for Sky Sports as the host of Super Sunday and Monday Night Football.

Chloe Fairley

Is a barrister specialising in Regulatory and Criminal law with an emphasis on defence work. Daughter of John Fairley, himself a Trustee for many years and instrumental in the acquisition of land for Jack Berry House
