Horse Shoe Sculpture

Horse Shoe Sculpture

by IJF |  14 Aug 2018

You can show your support for the Injured Jockeys Fund's latest fitness and rehabilitation centre, Peter O'Sullevan House, being built in Newmarket and become a part of it, by making a donation.

Any amount is gratefully received and will be put to good use helping fund this project. For donations over £100 you will be allocated a horseshoe in recognition of your support and this will be used in the creation of a 'Horse Shoe Sculpture' in the grounds of Peter O'Sullevan House itself.

Donations will be recorded in a formal journal located within the Peter O'Sullevan Atrium, which they will be able to come and visit.

This Sculpture, created by renowned steel sculpture artist, Tom Hill, will be made up of approximately 800 horseshoes that have been worn by racehorses from the Newmarket racing yards kindly supplied and donated by the towns racing farriers, trainers and owners.

The sculpture will be a life size scene of a racehorse galloping and will provide a lasting visual focus at the centre.

To donate:

If you wish to pay by cheque, please make your cheque out to Injured Jockeys Fund and sent it with your contact details to:

15 Kings Court, Willie Snaith Road, Newmarket, Suffolk, CB8 7SG

(In the unlikely event of the sculpture initiative not progressing your donation will be used for general IJF charitable purpose)
