Peter O’Sullevan House, the Injured Jockeys Fund’s third rehabilitation and fitness centre, located in Newmarket, Suffolk opened in August 2019.

Located adjacent to the British Racing School, Newmarket, Peter O’Sullevan House is a state-of-the-art 'Rehabilitation and Fitness' facility which includes Physiotherapy treatment rooms and a hydrotherapy pool, as well as a large light and airy gym.

Peter O’Sullevan House..

  • Has a fully equipped gym, including a hydrotherapy pool 

  • Offers educational courses on fitness and nutrition for the general well-being of young and aspiring jockeys.

  • We have a modern fully equipped gym with individualised support from our highly qualified strength and conditioning coaches

  • Additionally Race Ready group exercise classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday between 6.30-7.30pm (First two sessions FOC)

  • Pick and Mix Class Wednesdays 1:30-2:30pm, Choose from Strength, Conditioning or Mobility class.

  • If you are a 'Injured' professional Jockey NH, Flat, Conditional or Apprentice and needing treatment all services are free of charge where deemed applicable and capacity allows.

  • If you are not injured but wish to use the services there is a small charge as listed below.:

If you are a currently licensed Jockey who is injured, then services are free of charge subject to availability.

£100 - 6 months
£80 - 3 months
£30 - 1 month
£15 - per month standing order

Physiotherapy services:

All current Amateur, P2P, ARO Jockeys and retired license holders.

Initial assessment 45mins £0.00

Follow up session 30mins £0.00

Therafter 30mins £25.00

Scale C:

Racing Industry Staff; Stable Staff, Work Riders, Stalls Handlers, Farriers, Vets, and wider racing community;

Initial assessment 45mins £35

Follow up session 30mins £25

Gym Membership:

£200 - 1 year
£120 - 6 months
£90 - 3 months
£30 - 1 month
£20 - per month standing order

Peter O'Sullevan House charges reflect the charitable objectives of the Injured Jockeys Fund.

Most services – such as physiotherapy and massage – are free of charge to professional licence holders, including conditional and apprentice jockeys.

There are different fee structures for retired licence holders, stable staff and the general public living in the area.

These services and appointments are subject to availability, waiting lists and at the Funds discretion.

The IJF are also a registered treatment provider with BUPA.
