Peter Scudamore MBE - Vice Patron.
Retired eight times Champion National Hunt Jockey, journalist, broadcaster and assistant trainer, who became a Trustee in 1993.
Sir AP McCoy OBE - President
National Hunt Champion Jockey 1995-2015. Voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2010.
Jack Berry MBE - Vice President
Well known for his famous red shirt, Jack has been part of the Fund since its commencement in 1964. It was Jack's vision that led to the construction of Oaksey House and most recently Jack Berry House in Malton.
We are very grateful to our Trustees, who carry the responsibility for strategy and governance of the IJF.
Brough Scott MBE - Chairman
One of the best known characters in racing, Brough was a jockey and is an award-winning writer, broadcaster and charity worker. He was awarded an MBE in 2009 and has been a Trustee of the Fund since 1978 and Chairman since January 2007.
Jonathan Powell - Vice-Chairman
Well-known racing journalist and author. He became a Trustee of the Fund in 2002.
Jeff Smith - Treasurer
A successful racehorse owner & breeder and Chairman of the Aim Group. He became a Trustee in 2004.
William Norris QC
A barrister at Thirty Nine Essex Street, specialising in major personal injury claims, big environmental cases (particularly wind farms) and sports law, both as an advocate and Chairman of disciplinary tribunals. William was, in his own words a very moderate amateur jockey but currently enjoys more success racing sailing boats. William became a Trustee in 2006.
Successful businessman and amateur jockey most noted for his Cheltenham Gold Cup victory riding his own horse Long Run in 2011.

Leading sport psychologist and mental skills coach and former CEO of the Professional Jockeys Association.
Valda Burke BSc
Former Secondary School teacher with Masters in Neuroscience. Valda is a racehorse owner and joint owner of Whitley Stud.
Michael Foy qualified in 1977 from Southampton University and went on to do Orthopaedic Training with the Royal Air Force in Nottingham. He has been a Consultant Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgeon since 1989. His main area of specialisation is in spinal surgery with general orthopaedics (hip and knee). Michael is the author of various papers and presentations on back pain and trauma.
From an early age he has had an interest in horse racing/breeding. As a consequence of this, many of the racing fraternity (jockeys, trainers etc) are patients.
