We rely entirely on the generosity of our supporters to enable us to continuously provide appropriate assistance to all jockeys.
So easy... either create your own page to allow sponsors to support your cause, or pledge for a friend!
The Big Give has various ways in which to support us, including leaving a legacy, and redeeming vouchers!
Simple donations by either your credit/debit cards, or by PayPal! You can create your own event page too.
Leaving a legacy gift in your Will is the ideal way to remember your favourite cause/IJF and to help it/us provide continued support to injured jockeys.
Decide which type of gift to leave:
With a residuary gift, you can leave the remainder of your estate, or a percentage of it, once family and friends have been provided for. This is the type of gift many supporters choose to make, because it has the added benefit of keeping its value over time – it isn’t affected by inflation.
With a pecuniary gift, you can specify a particular amount of money or a valuable saleable item, like a piece of jewellery or furniture, that you would like to leave to the Injured Jockeys Fund.
It is always helpful to have gifts in wills that can be used wherever they are most urgently needed at the time they come to us. But we also understand your wish for your gift to be used for a specific purpose that’s important to you. Simply tell us what your wishes are. We will be pleased to honour them.
Payroll Giving (or Give As You Earn) is an easy, tax-free way to make a regular donation to the Injured Jockeys Fund directly from your salary. (Links to details)…
How it works.
Gifts are deducted directly from your gross salary, giving immediate tax relief. So, if you choose to donate £10 a month to Brooke via Payroll Giving, it will only cost you £8 if you are a basic rate taxpayer - and even less if you are a higher rate taxpayer.
For your employer, setting up Give as You Earn is easy: they just need to register with a payroll giving agency approved by the Inland Revenue.
Once your employer is registered with an agency, they simply send the Payroll Giving forms received from you to the agency, who will do the rest. The agency is responsible for adding the tax onto a donor's gift and transferring the total sum to the donor's nominated charity.
There are numerous ways to become involved whether it be sponsoring an IJF fundraising event or assisting with the purchase of essential equipment.
